People are always looking for easy ways to make money online and for the most part it just doesn’t exist. There are ways, however, where you can be extremely efficient and effective and promoting your business through a video like this one is one way to do that.

I made the following video to show folks some tips on how to market a program using simple systems that I use every single day to market and promote my business opportunities with. Go to YouTube and find this video on my channel and use it as you need it. There is also another system that you can use that’s even more simple than this one.

Is It All About You?

is it all about youIf you could join an opportunity and start recruiting people right away or start generating tons of leads every single day, do you think you might find a little success? Of course you would and it is possible.

How?

The Formula For Successful Team Building

Goes like this, figure out what the needs of those involved within your niche are and fill those needs. Sounds easy, but amazingly enough most people don’t get this part. Much of the time the effort that you put forth is not really for other people, but for yourself.

People that you talk to on the phone or in person will figure out if you have an agenda or not, just by the little cues you throw out there. If you ever find yourself in a conversation with someone and you are thinking about how to insert a point about your latest and greatest opportunity into the exchange then you probably aren’t really listening, are you?

So often we sign up to a program or opportunity all excited about the buckets of money we are going to make hitting up everyone we see on our meteoric rise to the top of the heap only to realize after a few days or a couple of weeks that people really don’t want to hear our crap. What? You don’t want to learn how to make money???

Of course, people want to learn how to make money, they just don’t want to hear it from you right now. Why? Because your focus is not on them and their situation or their problem – your focus is on yourself, it’s all about you!

How do we change this?

Understanding Human Nature

First, let’s be honest. In just about every business out there online right now we are involved with other people, so it would make sense that we need to learn how to deal with people. We might even need to like one or two of them!

Let’s start by that listening thing. Do you “actively” listen to someone when they are talking? Do you ask questions, open ended questions, about their life? This IS a start.

No Agendas

Stop trying to figure out an angle to introduce them to the plan. Rather than take a business card and ask if they are interested in making money while handing it to them, tell them you enjoyed the conversation and give it to them because you would like to know more – and be sincere. If you don’t like this person, DON’T GIVE THEM A CARD OR A PHONE NUMBER OR AN EMAIL ADDRESS! Kids do this all of the time, sure you can too.

If you do listen, think of how you can help that person. If it’s not financial, don’t offer a financial solution. Sometimes people just want to know that there is another human out there paying attention to them.

This doesn’t just translate into face to face meetings, it also comes across with the social sites like facebook and what not. Are people speaking with you or at you online? What are your online communication habits?

Put yourself and your issues behind others when you are texting or sending out messages to people. If you are “chatting” with someone online, don’t have ten chats going on at once. Focus on the one, stop focusing on yourself and what you need to become successful.

Building Relationships and Success

If you do this, you will be seen as a professional who cares – and you really will. You will build a level of trust between your prospects and your team and develop a sense of loyalty that is required for successful team building.

And with this success, you will find success with your business opportunities and in goal accomplishment as well.

secret to 90 days

Become an Online Success in 90 Days!

What’s the Deal With 90 Days?

I don’t know what the deal is, but it seems like almost anything can be cured or fixed or built in 90 days. Take the P90X exercise program. The results that are touted are after working out with this particular system for 90 days and to be honest, for most people, 90 days is probably enough and more importantly it does work, you can see the results.

Write a New Post for 90 Days

So what about making money online? What 90 day program do we talk about here? I say it all of the time to my own prospects and students. My mantra is, start a blog and write every single day for 90 days. Promote your blog posts with articles, do this for 90 days and see what happens and just so you know, this isn’t a new or original idea on my part either.

I’ve been following David Wood, co-founder of the empower network, for a while now. I went through the boot camp that he developed when he was working his MLSP (My Lead System Pro) program and what I learned was how much you could change, how the foundation of your success could be determined in a 90 day period, but why is this so? Well, David doesn’t really say it, nor does anyone else, but I do have my own personal theory.

90% Don’t Make 90 Days

First, most people, and I mean around 90% to 95% of the folks out there that are interested in starting a business online, will not create a new blog post every day for 90 days, so for those of us that will do that it means that our competition is not as tough as what we may initially presume.

Now admittedly I can’t prove any of this and it is conjecture on my part, but when you start looking at different key phrases and keywords surrounding specific topics like network marketing or making money online, the few people that have a blog or a site with 90+ days  of work on them appear at the top of the search engine results page.

Another thing to consider is how often I am called by folks that have been utilizing a particular form of marketing for a couple weeks that call to tell me what they are doing isn’t really working. I know that you can have your ups and downs with this business, believe me, I had many, many downs before I started getting some “ups” to go along with them. The deal is don’t stop, don’t quit. It doesn’t matter how you are marketing your program just as long as you are marketing.

A Magic Formula?

I don’t know exactly what the magic formula is about the 90 day routine, but there definitely seems to be something to go with this. Perhaps it is about the time that the compounding effects of your consistent effort start to take over. I mean after 90 days you have quite a few articles out there with quite a few links to your site and if you have done your research right you should have 90 different key phrases that you are going to be ranking fairly well for.

My 90 Day Formula for Blogging Success

With all of that said, I must confess that I think that a person serious about making a go with their money making program needs to start a blog. I’ve even devised a little formula that anyone can use to see positive results in, you guessed it, 90 days. The formula goes like this:

Day 1 – Get your domain name and set up your blog

Day 2 – Do the keyword and key phrase research and find as many different phrases as you possibly can to write about. Look at other blogs within your topic and try to gain some ideas here as well.

Day 3 – 90 Write (this is where the problems usually arise)

If you do nothing else but write for those 90 days, write article after article after article, sooner or later you are going to get noticed by the search engines…usually around day 40 or 50 by the way.

secret of 90 days

Don’t Stop Till You Hit 90 and Then Don’t Quit

The key is to never stop. I don’t know why 90 days is a magical number, but it seems to be magical in the sense that you, or anyone, will see significant results within that time frame, but you must be consistent with your efforts whether it be marketing online or sculpting a winning body.

ExperienceOne of the problems with experience is that is takes so long to get it!

People are always looking for quick and easy or effortless and the reality is that anything that is worthwhile doesn’t normally come quick and/or easy and it sure as hell doesn’t come without some kind of effort.

Experience Changes Perspective

Learning to market online is not always that simple, but it is rarely super difficult either. Probably one of the hardest things to do is shift your focus or perspective from a job to a business venture. You also have to shift your perception of you. Coming online and joining a money making program and then marketing can be done quickly through classified posting, forum posting and what not. For the more advanced areas of marketing such as blogging, article marketing and video marketing you are going to have to gain some of that experience to find success.

Start Slowly and Build On Your Foundation of Knowledge

So what do I recommend for the rookie marketer? First, start posting links for your opportunity. Make a list of at least 10 different places to post. I always say 3 times a day to craigslist, 5 times a day for backpage.com and 2-5 times a day for forums. Do this EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Second, go ahead and start a blog. You can do this for free, but I highly recommend that you buy a unique domain name from namecheap.com (or whatever your preferred provider is) and set up a WordPress blog. You can follow the step by step training that I provide to see exactly how to do this.

Tap Into the Knowledge of Mentors and Colleagues

Create content for your blog. Put something on that blog EVERY SINGLE DAY (you may see this message once or twice)! If you don’t know how to write a complete article, go to an already successful bloggers blog in the niche you are looking to work within and copy the article to re-post it on your site, but write a short 2 or 3 sentence paragraph about where you found this blog post and then another at the end about what you thought of the post. Make sure you give credit to the author!

You can also simply go to blogs, find interesting and unique blog posts that are about a topic or niche you are interested in, and get some ideas from these folks about what to write. This is not hard, don’t make it hard.

After time you will start to get…here it comes…EXPERIENCE with the techniques and methods that will enable you to start generating traffic to your website or program which translates into income.

Rise More Times Than You Fall

The main thing here is not to quit. Too many times far too many people stop right in front of the finish line. If you simply continue and pursue your dreams and goals, never stop learning and, most importantly, put forth the effort required you will succeed. You can’t help it, but it does require that you become effective in your efforts and that comes as a result of your experience!

You Reap What You Sow

reap what you sowI love it when someone finally makes money online and they do it again and again…they finally “get it.” These folks finally understand the value of posting those links over and over and over. They understand why they needed to write a new blog post EVERY single day. They understand why making videos and posting them two or three times a week, every week, is important. They understand.

I love to get emails from people that finally realize their goals. However, this post isn’t about success and it’s not about failure either. This article is about a very simple principle that is not only in the Bible, is also a simple common sense phrase that many people can comprehend very quickly.

The other day I received an email from a gentleman telling me that his marketing efforts were not paying off. He said he was posting on Craigslist every day and that nothing was happening. I immediately thought to myself that he would be the only one. I wondered what he was writing in terms of ad copy. While on one hand I felt bad for the guy, on the other I knew that he wasn’t really posting on a daily basis and if he was his ad copy would have had to been so bad that no one may have been able to help.

Ultimately I just realized that the guy probably wasn’t being all that honest about how hard he was working, the amount of effort he was putting out there. Why do I say that? Because the universal law governing all success is the same for simple referral marketing programs as it is for major success in other areas of your life as well: You reap what you sow.

I didn’t learn this from the Bible, or any other book, I actually learned this from observing a little skinny dude that was and still is marketing on the internet. I owe this guy a lot because he set the example for me and for many others by just being a diligent and consistent worker. His name, of course, is David Wood.

David just started his empower network not too long ago and while I am not a member (for specific reasons I don’t want to go into) I am impressed by this guy and what he has accomplished.

I know that the secret to his success was fairly simple – and not really a secret either. He simply created more content in a shorter period of time than just about everyone I have ever known. The guy is a machine! Yes, he’s a nice fellow and yes he’s somewhat charismatic in his own unique way, but the guy works his ass off and that is what made the difference!

Realize and understand that the success does not care if you are black or white or brown or read or yellow. Success isn’t more of a fan of men than women and doesn’t prefer blondes or red heads over brunettes. Success is equally willing to express itself with the young and the old. Success in this universe is simply a result of diligent and consistent effort towards a goal that can be accomplished.

reap what you sow

So the next time you are sitting around feeling sorry for yourself wondering why your program is not working for you, don’t forget to look in the mirror and ask if you have done all you can do and done it consistently. If the answer is yes, stop lying to yourself and send me an email…I’ll be more than happy to help if you are willing to take a little constructive criticism.
