My Post Penguin Free Blog, Linking Strategies and On Page SEO

post penguin seoPost Penguin SEO May Be Easier Than Ever

OK guys, I’m back and I’m sort of giggling all the way to the bank right now. Ever since the dreaded Penguin update came out I’ve been steadily working at creating some new and different blogs. Initially, I thought that creating the blogs and getting the links properly built up and getting the “new” worn off of the sites was going to take a few weeks or maybe even a couple of months…but…

…I’ve been able to rank on the first page of Google for key phrases within minutes of creating and publishing blog posts. The weird thing? Well, the weird thing is that I’ve been able to rank – in one case within 45 minutes or less – with a FREE blog from blogger.com – hmm, Google keeping it in the family I guess.

Ranking Well With Free Blogs

So what is my method for creating these free blogs and more importantly, ranking well with them? While I must admit that I am still testing the different marketing strategies and techniques – I’m refining what I’ve always done – I can tell you that what I am finding so far is that exact match URL’s are skyrocketing to the top of the Google SERP’s.

Obviously, Google is back to rewarding those of us with exact matched domains names.

Titles and Other Areas to Focus Your SEO Efforts

Another area I am really seeing some big time search engine love is with titles. I am primarily referring to titles of blogs as well as titles of blog posts. I started a free blog the other day – znzonesuccess.blogspot.com – and wrote an article titled “The ZNZ One Program” and it is residing on the first page results.

Now you folks that have been paying attention to my videos and to what it is that I specifically do after each and every post, know some of the methods that I use to rank well on the first page of Google. It seems that I went a little overboard with this particular blog, but that’s OK too – I’ll have this blog ranking well again in a few weeks or months, but it will be back.

So what am I doing now with these simple and free blogs from blogger to rank them so well? First, let’s look at the “on-page” SEO.

I am not using SEOpressor any longer. While I think this was excellent software, I’m trying to tone down the highly optimization of my sites and opting more for a more “gentle” optimizing of the site and pages. As mentioned above, you want to make sure that you titles – both of your blog and your posts – contain the keyword or key phrase you are looking to rank for.

Create a Natural Flow

The next thing you need to be looking at is the density of your keyword within the body of the article. I still believe this needs to be around 2%, but with that said, it is very important that you do not give up the natural flow of writing to make sure that your keyword is in the body of the text or even within the sub-titles – the h1, h2 and h3 tags. I would even put some additional subheadings that DO NOT contain the key phrase.

Images still seem to give you some link juice, but don’t have 3 or four images that all point back to your key phrase in the alt text. Mix it up. Make sure that one or two are optimized, but that’s about it.

Slow and Steady Link Building

In terms of backlinks and link building, I would probably start off slower here than anything else I have done. This site was highly optimized for “znz one,” “znz big cash” and “online payday system” and it ranks of the 2nd and 3rd pages now where it once resided in the #1 position for all three key phrases. This, I believe, was primarily due to the speed at which these links were developed rather than the location from where the links came from.

While you want to make sure that your links are coming from legitimate websites, I believe that a natural flow is more important as well as a mixture of websites. You want a high percentage of your links coming from the social media and community sites rather than all of them coming from blog directories.

My linking strategy now is to make sure that my linking comes in a more natural looking way – less than 30 or so a day – from many different locations. For example, I use ping.fm for social bookmarking and have several social sites attached to this tool. I am also still using socialmonkee.com with good results, but I am making sure that the hundred links or so that I get from them (I have a premium account) come over at least a ten day period.

Still Using Article Submission Tools

I still use – and get very good results by the way – my Unique Article Wizard, which is a blog directory, but I limit the amount of blogs my articles are posted on to ten or fifteen per day. I opt for a slow “trickle” of links rather than blasting out 30 or 50 (or more) per day.

Manually I am posting more on high PR sites like ezinearticles.com, articlesnatch (no follow links), and others. I am also building squidoo lenses for that whole PR 7 link juice.

So Far, So Good

These methods, along with writing actively on my blogs, seem to be working very well. Within days I was able to rank my new sites (something I haven’t been able to do in a long time) on the first page of the Google SERP’s. These sites are optimized for specific key phrases like “znz one info” and “znz one success” or “the znz one program” and they have done pretty well very quickly.

Below I have a video showing folks the 3 must do actions after writing my blog post. Pretty much the same strategy as before, but without much else. Just using these simple strategies allowed me to rank very quickly – within minutes in one case – and very well (in the top 5).

No Guarantees

Look, I’m not guaranteeing anything at all at this point, but what I can tell you is that I have used and am using these techniques and am finding very good results so for. Admittedly I haven’t gone after more competitive key phrases, that will be documented in my next efforts, but I have seen a spike in my income.

While my opt ins have decreased slightly, because I am more focused on generating highly targeted leads – my conversion rates have doubled. Hmm, might want to start working on the whole conversion thing a little bit more!

No Exact Formula

I don’t know if anyone will ever be able to tell us marketers exactly what to do to rank well every single time for every single key phrase – Google sure doesn’t want people to crack this code of theirs – but I can tell you that with a little bit of experimentation we are able to find and develop techniques, methods and strategies that will help us rank better and ultimately drive a lot of traffic to our programs and websites.

Best Internet Marketing Tools

best internet marketing toolsWhen you learn to get to the first page of the search engines like Google and particularly if you reach the prestigious #1 position people want to know how you did it and one of my secrets is that I use 3 of the best internet marketing tools around. Of course, that’s just my opinion.

Now before you get going on the whole “he’s only saying this because he’s an affiliate,” routine I will tell you that I AM an affiliate of these programs. You can click on one of my links and pick up the product and I will make some money OR you can go straight to the sites and pick them up that way too.

The main thing here is that as far as I am concerned you are going to want some tools and since these are the best internet marketing tools around for achieving high rankings within the SERP’s, you may want to take notice. Don’t ask why we need tools to perform our jobs, it’s like asking a carpenter why they need a saw or a hammer. Yep, pretty stupid.

What Are The Best Internet Marketing Tools?

The best internet marketing tools that I am referring to are 3 task specific tools that I couldn’t live without and 3 free tools that I use daily as well. The first 3, the three that you actually pay for are:

  • The Jaaxy Keyword Tool (my newest tool!)
  • The Best Spinner
  • The Unique Article Wizard (article submission service)

As for the 3 Free tools that I use:

  • Ping.fm (social bookmarking)
  • pingler.com (ping system)
  • socialmonkee (free and premium service – I have a free account)

There are a couple of others, but primarily this is it, I can get to the top of Google with this handful of tools and a bit of elbow grease. Below I will go into detail what each of these tools does.

Best Internet Marketing Tools: Keyword Tool

best internet marketing toolsIf you are not doing good keyword and key phrase research, you are not driving traffic and probably not making money. Why a keyword tool in my best internet marketing tools category? Because it is a NECESSARY tool and it works!

You need to know if you can rank well for a key phrase before you put forth the effort to do so. Jaaxy is very user friendly and extremely simple to use. You simply plug in a topic or keyword, press the search button and receive different keywords surrounding the topic. The tool does the work and will show you a green light for words that you can probably rank well for, yellow that indicate more competitive words and phrases and red which I think stands for “Don’t even try it.”

This tool at $19.95 is a “must-have” accessory to my toolkit. I’ve owned this tool for a few weeks and it has already made it’s money back time and again. Great investment which is why it qualifies for one of the best internet marketing tools out there.

Best Internet Marketing Tools Includes Spinning Software

best internet marketing toolsAnother service that I am always excited about is The Best Spinner. The fee for this product is $77 per year and very well worth the price. I can take an article that I have written and spin it into hundreds of unique articles with a push of the button. You do have to set up the synonyms manually, but that’s not that big of a deal and usually takes around thirty minutes to an hour.

Once you have used this service you will realize quite quickly why this tool makes my best internet marketing tools list. Once you generate these articles and start getting them to the directories and your submission service or software you will see how simple building back links through article marketing can be.

Best Internet Marketing Tools: Unique Article Wizard

I’ve been using the Unique Article Wizard for a couple of years now. This is by far the best of the best. I say this because if I need to rank on the first page of Google I simply write an article, spin it and submit 3 of the articles to UAW. If I’m not ranking on the first page within a few days, I repeat the process using different author names until I am. This program has very rarely (maybe when I was extremely ambitious in terms of keyword competition) failed to get my posts to page one!

best internet marketing toolsWhen it comes to the Crown Jewel of the best internet marketing tools, the Unique Article Wizard may be it. While some may complain at the monthly subscription price of $67.00 per month I will simply say you aren’t making money without it are you? Great investment!

Best Internet Marketing Tools: The Free Stuff

As soon as I complete a blog post, like this one, I will immediately start building links and will generate around seventy within the first five or ten minutes. I do this by submitting the URL from a completed blog post to ping.fm, the social bookmarking site, then I will send out pings from pingler.com updating different services and causing the crawlers to come my way and I will go to socialmonkee.com and submit a description of the article to it’s blog directory.

All of these methods are free, but this is not why they are considered among the best internet marketing tools. They are considered best because they do in fact work and that is ultimately the only thing that really concerns me.

Try these tools for yourself and with a little practice, patience and consistency see if you are ranking very well with your blogs. I use these best internet marketing tools exclusively and have found tremendous success with them.
