The question I have for you though is are you posting to these sites in a way that will provide you with quality results.

Now if I post something like this, I’m going to get a response from someone and it’s a hell of a lot better to post this info and get them to want to click on the link just to see what it is that to sit here and tell people over and over and over how cool your opportunity makes people because it’s so easy to make money from home from the comfort of your couch blah, blah, freakin’ blah!

This is a case of less is more.

If you can possibly swing it, and I know fifteen bucks a month is a real strain on the budget right now, but go out and get a domain name and then sign up with a small hosting account. I spend a whole $8 a month to host up to 25 domains. Get a fairly cool domain name and forward it to your affiliate or referral account. Don’t send out those www.wearesocoolfool.com/id=captgooseslick, sort of looks a little bit amateurish, wouldn’t you say?

Compare a link like that to www.makemoneyonlinenow.com – not that make money online now is available, but you get the message.

Just using these 2 simple tips will help you in terms of getting that click rate up. Just focus on the fact that you don’t have to be the hippest marketer on the planet, rather you just need people to click on those links. Why Do People Quit?

I don’t get it. I don’t understand the thought process that a person gets to where they decide, “Hey, my next course of action should be to give up…that’s what the REALLY successful people do!”

How in the hell do you give up on your dream? I’m not sure, but after hearing some folks today talk about how hard it was, I just had to make a quick video to rant a bit…so I hope you enjoy and I hope this makes you think just a little bit!

7 Tips For Writing Quality Articles

7 tips for writing articlesA lot of people already know this about me, but I love writing articles for my blogs and for promotional and marketing purposes. Article marketing remains my all time favorite methods to attract targeted visitors as well as generating quality back-links to my sites for ranking purposes. It’s just one of those things that I am fairly good at and it seems to come pretty easy to me.

I realize that many of you don’t feel comfortable writing and feel like you might not be that good at it, so I decided to write this little article with 7 tips or guidelines that may help you out.

I also know there are a lot of you out there that are wondering how in the hell I come up with the topics that I come up with and how I write about them. For the most part I don’t have to sit there and make up a outline or anything like that…reminds me too much of school and I’m not into that!

I’m going to set out a few guidelines here that may help you with writing articles and blog posts for your own programs and on your own blog. These are just some simple things that I have learned over the years and I hope this can help a lot of you that struggle with writing.

1. Research

OK, this is sort of a given, but you’d be surprised by the number of people that do not take this step. When I am talking research here I’m not necessarily referring to keyword or key phrase research, I’m actually talking about researching your topic. Read some other articles out there, get some ideas. Make a list of items that you would like to see in your article, issues that you may want to address and then leave it next to you as you write.

2. Write in a “comfortable” style

There is no need to sound like a text book, who wants to read that crap anyway? We read text books because we have to, not because we want to. Imagine that you are in a room with someone else and you are speaking to them. If you can do this then you can also write down what you are saying. Imagine a question being thrown your way and it’s your job to answer it. If you can write the same way you talk you shouldn’t have any problem “sounding” right in your article.

3. Tell stories

If you have a story that can relate to your topic throw it out there. People love to hear stories and we also enjoy reading them and just so you know, we think in pictures and stories are far more effective in providing images that a bunch “informative” paragraphs can. Think of the stories that your grandfather or grandmother told, stories around the fireplace at the end of a long day. Did you conjure up a warm and cozy scene?

4. Be Relevant

Make sure that you articles are relevant and on point. There is nothing worse that starting out on a topic and then slowly drifting away from the main topic of your article. The point is to write an article about a specific subject. You want to impart some type of knowledge, some kind of information that your readers need. Over time and after many articles you are going to be seen as the expert.

5. Are you smarter than a 5th grader?

Who cares. You need to write at a 4th or 5th grade reading level. Newspapers for years have been written at the elementary level and you want to do the same. Most folks don’t want a university dissertation, they want a simple, smooth flowing article that they don’t need a dictionary to read. You want to give people information not have them deciphering code.

6. Keep it Simple and Short

Write short sentences and compose short paragraphs. For what ever reason it is, people don’t read articles if they are composed with long paragraphs and lengthy sentences.

7. NEVER COPY AN ARTICLE

OK music and movie industries, I get it! I finally found an article that I wrote a few months ago posted on a forum that someone claimed was their own. I didn’t really think that something of that nature would bother me so much, but it did. I wanted to have this thief thrown in the county lock up and I wanted all of the traffic that was diverted to their program back to mine!

Do not ever copy an article from another author. This does not make you look smart, in the end it will just make you look like a thief and will take away a ton of credibility, not to mention that there are copyright laws out there that can be enforced. It’s just not worth it. Use an article to get you going, but do not plagiarize.

Use these tips to keep your articles fresh, original and interesting. Write articles often, the more you write the better you will become and if you are writing a blog you need to do this anyway. Remember to always have fun when you are writing articles too…this isn’t suppose to be a job after all!
