Good SEO or Spam?

Spam Alert? Not Quite, but Close!

I’ve got to admit it – I’m a sucker for keyword research and trying to get a ton of visitors to my site using (and abusing) on page seo tactics and the question that has been raised, or the criticism rather, is some of this good seo or spam? Not that this stuff is black hat or anything, but it just doesn’t really make sense a lot of the time. I have to admit, after looking at it and in that much detail, it doesn’t look like great seo.

I had a friend remind of that this weekend…someone I really respect and maybe some of you that actually read this blog wouldn’t mind looking up. His name is Marshall and he is a website seo professional and he wasn’t shy at all about helping me “identify” a problem article that I had…no, he’s not a shy guy.

Anyway, Marshall not only provided me with some more than adequate feedback and a good verbal lashing about keyword stuffing and spamming (Thanks again Marshall!), but his comments also made me realize that I have gotten off of the path that I laid out for this particular blog.

Forgetting the Mission

You see, Make Money Online Anywhere, was suppose to be a blog about promoting different ways that you could generate an income online. I wasn’t necessarily going to focus on one way or another, but as many different ways as I could figure out and test. I then wanted to relate my findings back to you in an effort to help people – especially newbies coming online to make a buck – find something that would work.

What has happened is that the ZNZ programs for me have just exploded and I have been able to make a pretty good income from just these programs. Oh I also earn a decent wage from Google every month for the adsense on my sites and additional monies from other companies as well, but the ZNZ One and Big Cash programs just sort of took off, so I spent a bit of time running with them so to speak.

Now it is the empower network that I am working on and true to the “90 day rule” that I push so hard, it looks like the Empower Network is actually going to start paying off! (Click on the Banner below for more info!)

A Good Rule of Thumb

Anyway, once again I am back to my “old” ways and some of my old blogging rules which I started out with a while back! My main rule – the 4:1 prose to technical ratio – is going to be adhered to more than ever. I actually sort of reversed it and now I’m bringing it back.

What is that 4:1 rule? It’s quite simple really – and makes more sense by the way – you write from the heart, from your own experiences and just off of the top of your head – still relating to your niche market and readers – but you DO NOT focus on keywords/key phrases. What you need to focus on mainly – and this is especially for blogging more than anything else – is on writing quality content for your human readers.

I sort of forgot about all of this, I sort of got to the point of doing everything for traffic no matter the cost and I almost blew it!

You do still want to do your keyword research and write on topics that are around your niche, but you don’t want to forget that your readers are human and that you should write for them and not the web crawlers from Google or anyone (anything?) else.

So once again, Thank you Marshall! For bringing this to my attention, I salute you! (You’ll just have to imagine that whole AC/DC cannon explosion thing)….until I throw it on a video that is!

Can you still find a legitimate work from home program and actually still work online at home like marketers say you can? This is a question that I hear directly and in indirect ways from those folks seeking an online opportunity and my answer is yes, you can.

When you have a teacher or a coach that knows what they are talking about then it can shorten the learning curve and the income generation process as well. Basically, you make money faster.

Even though programs take a backseat to successful marketing methods and strategies they are still very important. You want to make sure that a program has been around for a while, that it actually works and that it is fairly simple to promote. Be a Professional

Other things to consider when you decide to work online at home is your working environment. Working from your kitchen table can make for a cool success story down the road, but I do suggest that you find a place just for you and just for your online efforts. A small corner in your bedroom, somewhere that you can have a minimal level of privacy.

Don’t Forget to Have Fun

Remember when you work online at home you are really developing a business, a company. Keep things as professional as possible, but don’t forget to have fun. One of the reasons we choose to work this way is because of the flexibility, the opportunity to be our own boss and to choose success our way. This stuff is suppose to be fun and not another boring drain on our life force! I’m one of those guys that does a ton of research and when it comes to something like being able to earn money blogging or generating a passive or residual income, I’m all ears. I wholeheartedly believe in always increasing my knowledge of the Internet whether it’s learning a different or more effective marketing technique or reviewing tools and systems to make things more simple and efficient.

While I have written quite a number of articles surrounding making money online – anywhere, of course – today I’m going to write about how I earn money blogging.

Now when I say “blogging” I may be using the term fairly loosely. I don’t really consider myself a professional blogger, I’m more of an Internet marketer and very proud of the fact. That is not to say I don’t do a bit of so-called blogging when it comes to things that I actually know something about and I do capitalize on that blogging as well from a standpoint of monetizing my blogs in different ways.

Three Methods I Use to Earn Money Blogging

There are a few different ways to earn money blogging and I’m going to go over two or three that I use to earn money with.

First, Google adsense. For me, this is a fantastic program and with this one site I probably generate a couple of hundred dollars a month. Now I know two hundred isn’t anything to write home about, but you also have to remember that this isn’t my only blog! You also have to remember that I am going to have to attract traffic to my blog for other purposes so making money with adsense is just sort of a bonus.

A lot of people use adsense exclusively to earn money blogging and the key is traffic generation and not just any traffic. Like anything else, you want to make sure that your traffic is very targeted. You should only have visitors coming to your site that are interested in what you are offering – sort of makes sense. If you sell bananas you don’t want people looking for apples coming to your site, you want people looking for bananas. Yep, sounds pretty simple when you put it that way.

The second method I use to earn money blogging is with affiliate and referral programs. There are simply tons and tons of programs out there, that you can join to sell many different products. You can partner up with Amazon and sell all kinds of products or you can go with an affiliate opportunity like clickbank and sell digital products. You have many choices to pick from and you shouldn’t have a difficult time finding something that you are interested in promoting.

The Best Way to Earn Money Blogging and From a Blog

I save the best (in my humble opinion) for last, network marketing or MLM. Now I know that for many folks out there network marketing is the last thing you want to hear about. Many people have begun a network marketing career with high hopes only to find themselves in utter frustration and failure within a fairly short period of time…somewhere around 4 months statistically speaking.

However, you need to look at this business model from a business perspective. Network marketing, when done properly (most struggle with this) is fairly simple to build and utilizing the Internet is a fantastic way to build your business because you can automate so many systems and automate so much of the work.

The biggest problem with network marketing is that people are not properly trained to market their programs online. The second biggest problem is that there is typically an auto-ship program of some type or another that distributors are involved with that can slowly drain your cash reserves. There’s nothing like realizing that you have made $23 bucks in the last 3 months, but you have paid out over a grand and things just don’t really seem to be getting any better. Good news, things can get better if you get the proper training!

The key, once again, is learning how to become an effective promoter and marketer of your program. Think about it, if you were able to effortlessly recruit someone every week to your program and then be a part of teaching that person to recruit a person into their business once a week then what would your business look like after 3 months? Probably would be making a buck or two also, wouldn’t you? Like I said, I saved the best for last.

Learning to earn money blogging is not that difficult a process. Yes, there is a bit of a learning curve, but if you are serious you can literally be started within the next 24 hours and begin to generate an income within a couple of months. Although I cannot teach you how to do this stuff overnight so you can make money the next night, you can eventually become a very proficient blogger and you too can earn money blogging online.

For example, by their very nature, network marketing programs require some type of constant purchase of products whether it come through an auto-ship or through the sales of product to different customers outside your home.

The problem generally lies in the fact that most people cannot afford an auto-ship over an extended period of time and many folks don’t take the time, don’t feel comfortable doing or are too consumed with their current work lifestyle to go out and sell products. So what is the solution?

In my most humble of opinions, the simplest method would be to learn to generate a small amount of income with a more simpler program and use the profits from this type of program contribute to the marketing and advertising budget of a larger, more complicated program. You can use affiliate programs for this purpose or you can use other methods like referral marketing to do this as well.

Ultimately, network marketing is more of a long-term type of business model and success within this field require more experience in business and marketing, all that can be gathered by promoting more basic business models first before moving into this field of passive income generation.

Referral Marketing: My New Favorite Passive Income Generation

It’s no secret that I like simple money making programs and there are very few that are simpler than the programs from Zip Nada Zilch, the ZNZ One and ZNZ Big Cash programs.

As referral programs, these systems require you to participate in them before you actually are in a position to refer others to them, but that is actually a good thing. With the ZNZ programs mentioned above, you are required to participate in trial offers with different businesses. You can cancel your account before you are ever charged a membership fee or you may choose to keep the product or service. Once you sign up with your trial membership however, you are then eligible to refer others to the site presenting you with the opportunity of passive income generation.

Like affiliate marketing, this type of program is all about generating traffic to your site.
