Good SEO or Spam?

good seo or spamSpam Alert? Not Quite, but Close!

I’ve got to admit it – I’m a sucker for keyword research and trying to get a ton of visitors to my site using (and abusing) on page seo tactics and the question that has been raised, or the criticism rather, is some of this good seo or spam? Not that this stuff is black hat or anything, but it just doesn’t really make sense a lot of the time. I have to admit, after looking at it and in that much detail, it doesn’t look like great seo.

I had a friend remind of that this weekend…someone I really respect and maybe some of you that actually read this blog wouldn’t mind looking up. His name is Marshall and he is a website seo professional and he wasn’t shy at all about helping me “identify” a problem article that I had…no, he’s not a shy guy.

Anyway, Marshall not only provided me with some more than adequate feedback and a good verbal lashing about keyword stuffing and spamming (Thanks again Marshall!), but his comments also made me realize that I have gotten off of the path that I laid out for this particular blog.

Forgetting the Mission

You see, Make Money Online Anywhere, was suppose to be a blog about promoting different ways that you could generate an income online. I wasn’t necessarily going to focus on one way or another, but as many different ways as I could figure out and test. I then wanted to relate my findings back to you in an effort to help people – especially newbies coming online to make a buck – find something that would work.

What has happened is that the ZNZ programs for me have just exploded and I have been able to make a pretty good income from just these programs. Oh I also earn a decent wage from Google every month for the adsense on my sites and additional monies from other companies as well, but the ZNZ One and Big Cash programs just sort of took off, so I spent a bit of time running with them so to speak.

Now it is the empower network that I am working on and true to the “90 day rule” that I push so hard, it looks like the Empower Network is actually going to start paying off! (Click on the Banner below for more info!)

A Good Rule of Thumb

Anyway, once again I am back to my “old” ways and some of my old blogging rules which I started out with a while back! My main rule – the 4:1 prose to technical ratio – is going to be adhered to more than ever. I actually sort of reversed it and now I’m bringing it back.

What is that 4:1 rule? It’s quite simple really – and makes more sense by the way – you write from the heart, from your own experiences and just off of the top of your head – still relating to your niche market and readers – but you DO NOT focus on keywords/key phrases. What you need to focus on mainly – and this is especially for blogging more than anything else – is on writing quality content for your human readers.

I sort of forgot about all of this, I sort of got to the point of doing everything for traffic no matter the cost and I almost blew it!

You do still want to do your keyword research and write on topics that are around your niche, but you don’t want to forget that your readers are human and that you should write for them and not the web crawlers from Google or anyone (anything?) else.

So once again, Thank you Marshall! For bringing this to my attention, I salute you! (You’ll just have to imagine that whole AC/DC cannon explosion thing)….until I throw it on a video that is!

create multiple income streamsWhile there are arguments for and against the multiple income approach, I am firm in my belief that it is necessary for folks to create multiple income streams for a few reasons.

Create Multiple Income Streams With a Blog

Once you have a blog that contains quite a bit of content and is becoming more of an authority type of blog within your niche, it may be time to start to create multiple income streams if you have not already begun that process. You may want to monetize your blog with AdSense or some other form of advertising and if you actually have quite a bit of traffic you could lease space to those within your niche looking to cash in on some of that traffic as well.

Create Multiple Income Streams: The Pros

If you are not going to create multiple income streams then you are basing all of your income on a solitary method of generating revenue, one program, one product whatever it is. I know that many have heard that you shouldn’t put all of your eggs in one basket, but as someone that has put all their eggs in one basket, had the basket fall apart, I can tell you that income from one single source is not really a great idea.

Second, if one of your business opportunities takes off right away there is no one out there saying that you cannot pursue that particular business more aggressively than the others. When you create multiple income streams it’s all about developing multiple business platforms to pay yourself from different sources, but if one source is outperforming all of the others, you can guarantee that I will be pushing the one until it plateaus.

Another thing to consider is the economy. By now most of us realize that the days of going to work for a company, giving them your best years, but being rewarded with a nice pension at the end of your career has gone the way of the DoDo bird. For the most part many feel the need, today more than ever, to take their financial future into their own hands by reinventing and changing their ideas about feasible income creation.

Many people that are thinking in these “alternate” career forms are coming online and finding many different methods to generate income. Many are able to achieve their goals because they do learn how to create multiple income streams utilizing the internet.

An Argument Against Creating Multiple Income Streams

The argument that some make is that people will look at you, and your many business interests, and get the impression that you are “all over the place” because you aren’t focusing in one main program, but I think that this argument is pretty weak. If you know how to effectively market online and understand how to build simple blog sites surrounding some of these simple programs, then you are going to be able to generate some serious income over a year or two year period. Keep in mind that most of the success you will achieve comes from really learning how to market yourself and your programs.

Create Multiple Income Streams Quickly With The Right Perspective

In terms of finding success, I just have to tell you that I don’t care what the program is as much as I care about whether or not I can market the program successfully and generate an income with it. This was a pretty big paradigm shift for myself and my own thinking. I don’t look at opportunities the same way that I once did, I now look at them (hopefully) through the eyes of an internet marketer rather than opportunity seeker.

So why is this shift important? When you are trying to create multiple income streams you are obviously going to have to look over and evaluate many different programs. Some of these programs will “seem” better than others, but all of them will have their own challenges in terms of marketing. With that said, as an online marketer what I look for are existing markets of people that are looking to find a program or system within the niche that I can divert a portion of to my site or my ads.

Once I determine that I can or cannot divert these existing opportunity seekers or customers, that is what will be the determining factor as to whether or not I market a particular program, system or product. This is how I decide to create multiple streams of income and how I add new opportunities for income growth.
