ExperienceOne of the problems with experience is that is takes so long to get it!

People are always looking for quick and easy or effortless and the reality is that anything that is worthwhile doesn’t normally come quick and/or easy and it sure as hell doesn’t come without some kind of effort.

Experience Changes Perspective

Learning to market online is not always that simple, but it is rarely super difficult either. Probably one of the hardest things to do is shift your focus or perspective from a job to a business venture. You also have to shift your perception of you. Coming online and joining a money making program and then marketing can be done quickly through classified posting, forum posting and what not. For the more advanced areas of marketing such as blogging, article marketing and video marketing you are going to have to gain some of that experience to find success.

Start Slowly and Build On Your Foundation of Knowledge

So what do I recommend for the rookie marketer? First, start posting links for your opportunity. Make a list of at least 10 different places to post. I always say 3 times a day to craigslist, 5 times a day for backpage.com and 2-5 times a day for forums. Do this EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Second, go ahead and start a blog. You can do this for free, but I highly recommend that you buy a unique domain name from namecheap.com (or whatever your preferred provider is) and set up a WordPress blog. You can follow the step by step training that I provide to see exactly how to do this.

Tap Into the Knowledge of Mentors and Colleagues

Create content for your blog. Put something on that blog EVERY SINGLE DAY (you may see this message once or twice)! If you don’t know how to write a complete article, go to an already successful bloggers blog in the niche you are looking to work within and copy the article to re-post it on your site, but write a short 2 or 3 sentence paragraph about where you found this blog post and then another at the end about what you thought of the post. Make sure you give credit to the author!

You can also simply go to blogs, find interesting and unique blog posts that are about a topic or niche you are interested in, and get some ideas from these folks about what to write. This is not hard, don’t make it hard.

After time you will start to get…here it comes…EXPERIENCE with the techniques and methods that will enable you to start generating traffic to your website or program which translates into income.

Rise More Times Than You Fall

The main thing here is not to quit. Too many times far too many people stop right in front of the finish line. If you simply continue and pursue your dreams and goals, never stop learning and, most importantly, put forth the effort required you will succeed. You can’t help it, but it does require that you become effective in your efforts and that comes as a result of your experience!

  1. I know many people that talk about doing things, but I only know a small few that actually DO things. Consistency is the key! You only fail if you quit trying.

I have a few sites that have done well while others have not, and I knew part of the reason was because I wasn’t doing anything on the less productive sites.

I will not quit even once I reach the level of success I dream of, I will simply get more success.

    Great post Mark!

  2. Great response Maya! I look forward to seeing fantastic things happening for you!
